As equipas nas organizações não constituem uma panaceia para todos os seus problemas dado que algumas equipas são mais eficazes que outras. O que distingue então estas equipas? Mais do que conhecimentos técnicos, as equipas necessitam de possuir competências transversais que lhes permitam ter a adaptabilidade necessária a um contexto em mudança. Teams in organizations are not a panacea for all their problems because some teams are more effective than others. What distinguishes these teams then? More than technical expertise, the teams need to possess soft skills to enable them to have the necessary adaptability to a changing environment. Due to the scarcity of empirical studies that relate team competencies and team effectiveness, this thesis proposes a model for study. Additionally, we intent to perform the first step in studying this model by empirically validate the model proposed by the most recent literature of team competencies. Although extensive research has been done on teaching emails and on the use of emails in organisations, little research exists about how to incorporate organizational practitioners’ views as the voices of the community of social practice. To remedy this pedagogical gap, this article uses a genre approach to discuss organizational practitioners’ views on the use of email in organizational settings. It also develops seven teaching and learning stages for situated learning and teaching in business communication based upon the presented study findings.

En aquest quadern es descriu el procés de gestació i desenvolupament de la Biologia I, una assignatura de 6 ECTS, que s'imparteix en els graus de Biologia, Bioquímica, Biotecnologia i Ciències Biomèdiques a la Facultat de Biologia de la Universitat de Barcelona. Per impartir la Biologia I es va constituir un equip docent multidisciplinari, format per 30 professors de diferents departaments. És important destacar la feina de coordinació i col·laboració entre tots els integrants.
